From Nature to Plate: Herbal Kitchen Experience
A Journey Through Local Flavors and Ancient Traditions in the Herbal Kitchen
In the past people were hunters and gatherers. They were gathering seeds, fruits, buds, leaves, roots, tubers and whole plants. With agriculture, people didn’t depend on gathering anymore. We still have this gathering instinct, but we lost the contact with nature and we lost the knowledge about plants. In each season of the year nature offers us herbs, seeds, fruits that we can eat. But we have to recognise them and know how to prepare them.
In our Herbal Kitchen workshop, we will walk together in the nature and we will lead you through local gathering tradition. Together we will recognise, pick up, finger and smell seasonal herbs.
In our herbal garden we will prepare a local dish from picked herbs and taste some other local herbal products.

We advise sports - comfortable footwear for light outdoor activities, hats or caps. We advise participants to bring some water, for the rest we will take care.

Workshops take place in Soča Valley, town Most na Soči Slovenia
PARKING
Car parking: Modrej Beach near Most na Soči.
USEFUL INFORMATION
Guiding language is English or Slovene.
The trail is comfortable with wide paths. The path is in a shade of a forest just partly. Be prepared for sun exposure too.
We recommend bringing water bottle. On the way is possibility to refill the bottle with a very good local water.
