Getting there?
From Tolmin, it’s approximately a 20-minute drive to the Kolovrat outdoor museum parking area at the start of the trail. No public transport.

Why Visit Kolovrat? This open-air museum allows you to experience history in authentic wartime terrain. Set in a beautiful natural landscape, it offers stunning views stretching from the Adriatic Sea to the Julian Alps. Kolovrat lies directly on the border between Slovenia and Italy, making it a place where nature, history, and cultures meet.
LIMITATIONS
The experience is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the terrain. An open-air museum is located in nature, with walking paths, caves, and wartime bunkers.
